The Challenge

A leading manufacturer and international distributor of raw materials for chemicals and flooring products faced challenges in tracking their IT budgets. The data was spread across various sources, repetitive and manual tasks in their payment processes led to reduced efficiency, and generating comprehensive reports was tedious. The need for automation was imperative for process efficiency and productivity.

SVARAPPS Transformation Approach

We leveraged Oracle Business Process Management (BPM) solution and a wide range of associated automation tools in Oracle Fusion Cloud to transform the finance and budgeting processes of the manufacturing giant. Our approach focused on reducing the manual effort and eliminating dependencies on third-party utilities. The automation enabled the organization to monitor and track their IT budgets, ensuring they adhered to the projected expectations and achieved their strategic objectives.

During the implementation, we customized and deployed FBDI to accurately migrate huge data sets spread across various sources and BIP and OTBI to analyze and generate accurate reports. The reports were designed to ensure control of access based on teams and roles. Additionally, we embarked on inbound and outbound integration with OIC and other utilities.

The Result

The implementation of Oracle BPM resulted in:

  • Streamlined Data Governance: Migration of data from various sources to a single framework increased efficiency in data management

  • Cost Savings: By automating processes, the organization reduced the manual effort required

  • Seamless Information Flow: The reports ensured that stakeholders and teams gained easy access to relevant information

  • Reduced Dependency: The implementation eliminated the dependency on third-party utilities and reduce manual intervention

  • Achieve Budgeting Targets: Together, data management, process automation, information transparency, and reduced dependency enabled the organizations to limit their IT expenditure within their targeted budget.
